Shaky Knees Music Festival Day 3

The third and final day of Shaky Knees finally brought a day full of sunshine and that sunshine reminded us that we were walking around on a blacktop all day. Whew it was hot. The final day also meant for a much more dialed down tone of the music making for a lazy Sunday for those needing a rest from the previous two days. I got to see one of my favorite bands in Blitzen Trapper and finally photograph Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. They were missing the female voice in the band but Alexander put on a great show none the less even jumping out into the crowd to partake in a smoke with the audience and then handing the microphone off to a young lady to song a few of the verses. Local Natives picked up the energy and put on a very good set. Alabama Shakes closed out the weekend with a southern boogie. I have grown tired of lead singer Brittany Howard's stage antics but damn I do love the groove of that band.
